Meet our director
Mary has been directing the Wichita Air Capital Chorus since June of 2009. While growing up, she spent many Friday nights playing the guitar and singing with her friends. She started directing vocal music groups and teaching guitar lessons when she was fifteen and has been directing ever since. When a friend from work encouraged her to visit a Sweet Adeline rehearsal she found a whole new world of music in the barbershop style. She is currently the minister of music at Trinity Presbyterian Church and also directs the Wichita Chorus Sweet Adelines. Mary graduated from Friends University in 2008 adding a music education degree to her business degree and masters in instructional technology and design. She currently teaches vocal music at Truesdell Middle School.
